Availability of artwork will effect the design schedule so please call to confirm availability. Most common commercial aircraft design takes less than one week. The easiest way to get us started is: 1) Write down any changes you may want on a sample card and fax them to us. If you are using cards by another company, don’t be concerned. We are aware of copyright laws and will not copy anybody else’s work. As it is an expedient way to tell us what equipment and procedures you have, it’s helpful for us to review. We will call to review pertinent information or anything we need to clarify. If you don’t have a sample card, we will gladly send one to you. 2) Send us a clean copy of your logo. This sometimes becomes a hold-up on production so please send one in early. We would be happy to deal directly with your marketing department ourselves to get exactly what we need. We can sometimes access logos from websites as well. If all you have is a letterhead, we can also work from that, but the cleaner the copy the better. Whatever you have, send us the original so we can reproduce it precisely. We will return it to you promptly. 3) We will provide a sample via fax, E-mail, or color copy via courier depending on your needs and available time. We highly recommend that you board the aircraft and compare the proof with your equipment, after all this is what your inspector will do. Key items you should check are: a) Emergency lighting (color of lights? on the floor or the seats? side of the aisle?) b) Type and location of over-water equipment c) Any retrofit or special gear. Other safety card companies farm out all their printing, but we have our own in-house print plant ready to print your order when you approve it. Normal printing and bindery time is 1-2 weeks depending on size of job and work flow. We can often shorten this, and one or two day turnarounds are not unusual, but we suggest that you check on scheduling once you approve the artwork.

Other companies charge you extra for initial orders, expediting, translations, and other services. That’s because they don’t have the experience to know what these things will cost them or they don’t have the extensive library of art and translations that Aero has to quickly and confidently design a card to meet your needs. Aero will tell you the charge up front and it is actually lower today than when we started business in 1985. Only Aero, with its unique background, knowledge, and resources can offer every customer the same personal attention at such low prices. If you or your inspector want to see the instructions done a different way, if you change procedures, or if you just don’t like a particular drawing, we will change it and we won’t charge you extra for it. Because we have our own print plant, we can fit your rush order around our other jobs and we won’t charge you extra to do it. Typical printers charge an additional 100% for rush orders!
